Status Alerts
What we collect.
When you sign up for eruv status alerts we collect your name, and your mobile number, your email address, or both, depending on how you chose to hear from us. For text alerts we also record the consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and the internet address it came from, so we can show that you asked to receive them.
We use this only to send you the weekly eruv status. Nothing else is sent to it.
Text Messages
Texts from the eruv.
Text alerts tell you whether the eruv is up or down for Shabbat, about once a week. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, and you will get no further messages. Reply HELP for help.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing, including other organizations and affiliates. Your number is passed only to Twilio, the service that delivers the texts on our behalf.
Email alerts and receipts.
Email alerts carry the same weekly status. Every one includes an unsubscribe link that removes you straight away.
If you become a member, a receipt for your gift is emailed to you. Emails are delivered through Twilio.
Memberships
Payments.
Memberships and donations are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach this site or the eruv committee. Stripe shares your name, email address, and the amount of your gift with us so we can send a receipt and keep a record of the gift. Stripe’s privacy policy covers how Stripe handles your payment.
Everything Else
No tracking.
This site runs no analytics and no advertising, and sets no tracking cookies. Its fonts are loaded from Adobe Fonts.
We keep your alert details until you unsubscribe, and records of gifts as long as the law requires for a non-profit’s tax records.
